According to the players agent, Liverpool have stepped up their interest in the 23-year-old Trabzonspor goalkeeper, who has caught the eye of several European clubs for his assured displays between the sticks.Reds chief Jurgen Klopp is looking for a back-up to Alisson, with current no.2 Simon Mignolet set to leave the club in the summer.

Sturridge has struggled to hold down a place under Klopp, despite working his way back into contention following a loan spell with West Brom in 2017/18.The injury-plagued Englishman would be replaced by academy starlet Rhian Brewster, who was recently named on the bench against Barcelona.
