Andy Ambler, the FA’s director of professional game relations, said: “The FA Cup has been at the forefront VAR testing process in England and this is the next step in its development.”VAR decisions were shown on big screens during the World Cup in Russia last summer, but the technology has not been used in the Premier League this season after a majority of clubs rejected its implementation for 2018/19.It has, however, been used regularly in the FA Cup over the past two seasons, although only in stadiums belonging to Premier League clubs.
