Manchester United news: The Sir Alex Ferguson legacy lives on with just four players in starting XI vs Barca signed after his retirement
The legacy of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United is clearly evident six years after his retirement as manager of the club.Since Ferguson called it a day in 2013, after 1,500 games in charge, the Red Devils have had four different permanent bosses.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Sir Alex Fergusongetty3

They have also spent more than 800million on transfers with a net spend of 552million.Despite the enormous amount spent on players, in the starting line-up against Barcelona, a game they lost 3-0, there were just four players signed in the post-Ferguson era.The rest were either signings made by the legendary manager or have come through the youth ranks. It perhaps illustrates the need for an extensive overhaul in the summer under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, something the boss has said is likely to happen.
